Once objects have served their purpose, we humans don’t always let them go. Maybe they mean too much to throw away or donate but can’t really ever be used in the same way again. I’m not talking about our need to recycle or be smarter about buying things that last. I’m talking about our human need to keep objects that just mean something to us – sometimes for inexplicable reasons.

This weekend I packed up every piece of jewelry that I have made in the last year, loaded up my truck with show equipment and went to set up a booth at a local art show that I have been doing annually for a number a years.
